Our mate Craig Nicholas Tate, whilst studying for a BA Honours in Fashion and Textile in London established Nicholas Deakins in 1991. His first initial collection of only four styles became a favourite of the clubs and terraces, earning the brand a loyal and dedicated following.

Growing, Evolving, Expanding

After establishing and building  the brand, which always features a white Yorkshire rose and always has that distinctly English feel, Craig decided to expand the business and establish two new ranges, Deakins and NDS and later a clothing range.

Loyalty Makes You Family

Craig always said that the real key to their success was remaining true to the roots and the customers and he thinks it's a philosophy every brand should adhere to. So staying true to its roots on the terraces and in the Northern music scene, Nicholas Deakins over the past twenty five years continues to produce footwear and clothing for a discerning loyal brand customer interested in quality and durability.

Craig remains managing and design director of Nicholas Deakins and the brand is stocked online and in stores all over the world with its flagship store still to this day situated in the heart of Leeds city centre.
